ADAPT Day Treatment Program

Respect, Comfort, & Compassion

Encouragement, compassion, and expert care are the foundations of Community Mental Healthcare’s Day Treatment program. Our Day Treatment program, or ADAPT, is group therapy treatment aimed to improve social, coping, and problem-solving skills for those diagnosed with or have been hospitalized for a chronic behavioral health condition.

Our group therapy program helps individuals build stable and healthy lifestyles by promoting peer-to-peer engagement through guided discussion topics. Each topic addresses a critical life-skill such as self-esteem, assertive communication, anger, coping skills, healthy eating, exercise, and creative expression.

A healthcare plan just for you.

Understanding the individual’s needs, even in a group setting, is critical to growth and development. Before entering the group setting, our staff will contact the individual’s other healthcare providers so our staff fully understands any unique healthcare needs.

In addition to Day Treatment, Community Mental Healthcare offers complete healthcare services: mental health education, substance abuse treatment, individual counseling services, and crisis services. Primary and dental care for the whole family also is available at Community Family Health Center.

Day Treatment is offered to those covered by Medicaid at our New Philadelphia office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to Noon. Attendance at all sessions is not mandatory - the number of required sessions will be determined by individual treatment plans.
